A little bit about Fontanini...

Fontanini is located in Bagni Di Lucca, Italy. Bagni Di Lucca is in the Tuscany region of Italy, and has a population of 6,500.

Since 1908, Fontanini believes in the old tradition of the Lucchesi figurine designer producing subjects of unique expression and accurately modelled. Generations of Italians have devoted themselves to the creation of nativity sets, and different figures throughout the many years.

Nativity set figurines and angels are evidence of this type of creation: each piece is hand painted, of different sizes from a few inches to the large scale figures. They're all a symbol of happiness and sweetness, bearing a message of peace and indicating a brotherly friendship.
